Chhapra (H.K.Verma): Inaugurating International Webinar on “The role of Vedic Literature and Allied Subjects in Pandemic to manage Stress, Immunity, Hygiene and Harmony”, Prof. Hanuman Prasad Pandey, the Vice Chancellor of BRA Bihar University (Muz) and J.P.University (Chhapra) said on Friday that ‘Yoga’ and the ‘Ayurveda’ could be wonderful alternative to treat against current COVID-19 and pleaded to encourage further studies on this subjects.
The 2 day Webinar was organized jointly by local Ram Jaipal College and WAVS (Wider Association for Vedic Studies, New Delhi).
Speaking as Chief Guest Prof. Harish Sharma, VC of MAM University, Ambala commented that our traditional knowledge, which we followed from ancient days had capacity to increase our immunity but we have discarded them under the influence west and we have to take up them once again and pleading to opt the old Indian traditional knowledge like use of copper made water containers could be helpful in developing our immune system.
Addressing the webinar, Prof. A.K. Jha , Pro VC of J.P.university pleaded to bring positive changes in our life style to sustain this threat from Corona. Extending the address of welcome, Prof. Sidhartha Shanker Singh, a Sanskrit scholar and Principal of the host college, underlined the worship of Sun God and recitation of ‘Gayatri Mantra’ for the peache of mind, Vitamin D and enhancement of energy. Prof. Shashi tiwari, a vedic scholar and Professor of Sanskrit in Delhi University, Dr. Madhu Sharma of Chapling Duke University, Dr. Gun Sagar Yadav , Dr. Toshi and many others participated in the discussion.
