J.P. University bans use of Plastic bottles on its premises

Chhapra (H.K.Verma): Climate change and growing population of  the World have been putting pressure on the natural resources of the earth.  Shifting of weather pattern and affecting human health have been the effect of such change in climate. These things have not only adversely affected our economy but have developed several diseases like water borne diseases, cardiovascular diseases, respiratory problems, vector borne diseases and even cancer.

Warning the people against possible disastrous effect like flood, earthquake etc,  Prof. R.K.Sinha, Vice Chancellor of Nalanda Open University cautioned the students on Friday while delivering a lecture organized by Zoology department of local J.P.University  (Chhapra) on “Impact of climate change on natural resources and human health” in University’s Senate Hall.

Prof. Sinha also dwelt in length about the impact on natural resources, like wet land, wild life, deforestation, global warming, acid rain and their mitigation. He urged the audience to stop using plastic water bottles, stop using polythene etc to save human population from extinction.

Presiding over the meeting, Prof. Harikesh Singh, the Vice Chancellor of J.P.University asked the audience to maintain balance in habit and habitat and urged to lead traditional life. He also announced ban on the use of plastic bottles on this campus with effect from this day. At the outset Prof. U.S.P. Yadav, Dean, Faculty of Science welcomed the guests, Prof. Rakesh presented Key note address while Prof Dipti  Sahay extended vote of thanks.
