Chhapra (H.K.Verma): BJP national spokesperson, Saran MP and former Union Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy has hoped that the proposed bridge between Dighwara and Danapur to bridge river Ganga would not only develop the ‘Diara’ area but would also serve as Suburb of greater Patna in future. He has compared the scenario, after development of this area, to that of Yamuna Par at Delhi.
While talking to Media Persons at his home village Amnour (Saran) after being felicitated on his appointment as National Spokesperson of BJP on Tuesday, Rudy expressed his thanks to PM and BJP Prez Amit Sah for showing confidence in him by giving this responsibility. It may be recalled that while laying foundation stone of a double Decker fly over at Chhapra on 11th of July,’ 18, the CM Nitish Kumar had assured Rudy to provide Government’s nod for this bridge. Since then Rudy had been trying for its DPR and other formalities and on Tuesday the CM said to him “After completion of 6 Lane bridge between Kachhi dargah and Bidupur and others on eastern side of Ganga, now it is turn of constructing new bridge over Ganga on Western side including proposed bridge between Danapur and Dighwara.” Rudy further said that Bihar State Bridge construction Corporation has decided to align road between Dighwara and Danapur, constructed by the English rulers, to use for this bridge and thus there would not be any necessity to acquire land for this new construction. He further said that NH 19 (Chhapra-Patna), NH 102 (Chhapra-Muzaffarpur), SH 73 (Siwan-Patna),SH 104 (Amnour-Derni-Dighwara) would be connected to this bridge providing relief to people of North Bihar and bordering UP in coming to Patna and would benefit the farmers to transport their crops particularly vegetables to different districts in fresh condition.
Rudy further said that the works done in power sector in Saran and other parts of Bihar have set an example for others as the NDA Government has successfully provided power to diara region for the 1st time after independence of the country and after establishment of Power plant at Rasulpur, the scenario would be better. He also assured that works on 4 lane NH 19 would be completed by March ’19 and assured to convert existing Rajendra stadium at Chhapra in to a multi sports complex.
